United States Business Intelligence Report 2026

An assessment of the United States economy for overseas entrants: the investment climate, the policy environment and the sectors MIE's American portfolio serves — real estate, infrastructure, and smart home and furnishings. It also traces two forces cutting across all three, the demand created by AI and the constraints created by energy supply.

What the report covers

  • Investment climate and policy environment
  • Real estate and property
  • Infrastructure and smart home
  • AI-driven demand and energy constraints

APEX: America’s Property Exhibition 2027

APEX is MIE's United States property exhibition, held in Chicago — a market chosen for its central position, its deep commercial real-estate and infrastructure base, and its role as a gateway to the wider American market. It is built for the two sides of a property transaction that rarely meet in one place: developers, owners and operators on one side, and the international investors, capital providers and suppliers who want exposure to American real estate on the other. Exhibiting companies and the programme are published on the show's own site; the group's United States Business Intelligence Report, covering the investment climate and the property and infrastructure sectors, provides the market context behind it.

Smarter Homes and Furnishings (SHF) 2027

Smarter Homes and Furnishings is MIE's United States exhibition for the home — two markets that are usually shown separately and are combined here deliberately, because a house is specified as one project. It covers home automation, security and energy management alongside furniture, furnishings and interior finishes, and it is aimed at the people who make those specification decisions: builders and developers, interior designers and architects, retail buyers and distributors. It is held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in the Chicago area, one of the largest concentrations of residential construction and interior trade in the United States. Exhibiting companies and the programme are published on the show's own site.
